Barbequed Chicken Mmmmmmm!

< back | next >

Welcome back to our ninth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

Now it's getting hot! There is a weather warning issued today due to the heat and humidity. Lots of fluids will be needed today.

We leave Pirate Cove Marina paddling down the Rideau River towards Manotick. This stretch of the river does not have any locks, so there should be no unexpected delays today. We stop for lunch at another great sponsor, Hurst Marina. Over the years, they have provided us with boats and a place to relax for lunch. Thank you.

Once again another of our sponsors, B & H Grocer of Kemptville has prepared a chicken BBQ for lunch. Great job again.....thanks from all of us.

Our sponsors can't be thanked enough. They provide us with trucks, cars, boats, trailers, kayaks and food. Without them this trip would be impossible. Please support them, just as they have supported us. Click here to go to our sponsors page.
