Welcome back to our eleventh
consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!
The 11th annual Kayaking for Cancer trip is now underway!
After everyone arrived in Kingston, it didn’t take long to get back into the groove. This will be my 9th trip and I always enjoy the first day. I get to see so many familiar faces…my kayaking family!
A total of 23 paddlers launched the kayaks into Lake Ontario, making our way towards the Rideau Canal. Boy, do we ever look good in pink!
It was a calm morning, with a little portage and a refreshing lunch in Kingston Mills. The vets reassured the rookies that the evening stop was “just around the corner.” Lower Brewers was our pit-stop for the night.
The rain stayed away and the evening turned out great. Even with an algae misfortune, a very red face, and gray sweat suits...we ended the night on a high!
