Welcome back to our eighteenth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

Today is the start of our third day on the water. This is my ninth year of paddling and it is as overwhelming as the first. We come together for one week as a family sharing stories laughing and crying together. Itís good to see old friends and to make new friends.

We have three new paddlers this year; Victoria and Ken, father and daughter team, and Dan the husband of Cindy who joined us last year.

For many of us we are thinking of an old friend who passed away this year. Sir Bernard of the Rideau was a big part of our group and will always be remembered.

I paddle for my mother, father and the many friends I have lost through the years. Joining kayaking for cancer has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life and Iím happy and proud to call this small group of dedicated people family for a week.

We will continue to paddle on.

Don't you hate it when you go to get into your kayak and you miss.

Notice the rain gear?

Could this be Tuesday,....

Barbie and Ken don't seem to mind the rain. Tap or click to see Jenna's point of view.

Kevin thanks the Goral family (and friend) for providing dinner once again.
