The kayaks cross Seeley's Bay

< back | next >

Welcome back to our eighth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

The weather today looks pretty good, a mixture of sun and cloud. But last night was quite a bit different. During the night a huge storm went through soaking the tents and sleeping bags. This morning we left them behind to dry out and the ground crew picked them up after lunch.

We made good time this morning, arriving at Seeley's Bay at 12:30. The water in front of the dock that we use was so plugged with weeds and mud that the support boat couldn't get in. Another boater had to tow it back out to open water and Ron was able to dock it elsewhere. We enjoyed the lunch that Candice, Donna and Micheline had prepared for us then continued on our way.
