Welcome back to our thirteenth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

Hey K4C 2013 team,
Missing my usual role today as I sit in a hotel room in Toronto, I was inspired however, by a speech given by Dr. Elaine Bernard who asked us to consider the kind of communities we wanted to live in and the importance of shared common interests. My mind immediately jumped to the camaraderie and common sense of purpose daily demonstrated by the K4C team. Joanne and I feel both privileged and honoured to participate annually with you. While I know you will have yet another great day on the water, I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and best wishes. Kevin is certainly one of the finest men I have ever known, his leadership skills and appreciative nature are inspiring. Our community (K4C) is so fortunate. I think of how daily he expresses his gratitude to the volunteers on your behalf and I just thought it important that this volunteer give back a little of the same. Kevin, hats off to you for leading such a unique and incredible team of individuals who put the interests of others ahead of their own.
Hope this year tops all others in the fight against cancer. Best of luck for the final leg of the 2013 K4C journey.
Wishing we were still with you on the support boat.

Dan and Joanne.
