Jeanette begins another day's paddle.

Welcome back to our seventeenth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

Unfortunately we have both been touched by the big C as we have family members that are now gone while others continue the flight. It is these people that we paddle to support. When we signed up two years ago we were expecting just another camping / kayak trip. It's was a very fun trip as expected but the horizon of discovery was much much more than that. K4C has turned into the discovery of friends that love being outside and enjoy a good swim at the end of the day. We discovered the story of others that paddle and were survivors and their appreciation of life. From them we gained a better understanding of ourselves and how far reaching the impacts of cancer are. We paddle as we know way to many people that are directly impacted by cancer. Cancer has a significant impact on us all.

Jenna is on the water today after two days helping the ground crew. Thanks Jenna.

Katrina joins us today for the rest of the week.

Just waiting for the Lock to fill.

At Davis Lock we always pay tribute to the paddlers that we have lost. Jenna speaks of....

....Papa Ron, Jessie, her father "Rip", Brent and Denis while the paddlers listen.

Leaving Davis on another beautiful day.
