Welcome back to our eighteenth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

This is my fourth year kayaking with the K4C family and I’m so pleased to be here. This is one incredible group of people who are all here for the same reason: to help cure cancer!
So far we have been blessed with warm weather, clear skies and meteor showers at night. It’s early in the week and we have plenty of time to share our stories and get to know the new additions to our group.
It’s a bitter sweet event, always inspirational and beautiful, but a sad reminder of the people we have lost from our personal life and from our K4C family. Paddling the Rideau is an emotional rollercoaster and it’s a beautiful ride. I try my best to soak up all that it has to offer, the good the bad, the tears the laughter, the tough paddles and the wind at our backs. Soak every ounce of it up and give back the positive energy this trip provides.
This trip really is therapy.
