Welcome back to our sixth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

Today we head into the largest body of water on The Rideau Canal System, The Big Rideau. The wind has been very strong since our arrival last night and will be a factor today. We had a storm after supper last night,and some of the tents got loose in the wind. It will be a wild ride today! Fortunately the wind is at our backs.

For the first two hours paddling was easy. But when we turned the point heading for Fox Island the wind was right in our faces. By the time the kayakers arrived for lunch they were beat.

We had a great lunch and a good visit with our host Paul Brady. Only another 90 minutes of paddling and we should reach tonight's destination Rideau Ferry Safari Marina.
