Welcome back to our ninth
consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!
Today we cross the Big Rideau. Bad weather and
especially wind can make this quite a chore. But
when we pack up and leave Narrows Lock there is
no wind or rain....a perfect day to cross this
lake!
As we approach Fox Island Uncle Mike and his
apprentice Angus, arrange the kayaks in a colour
coordinated formation for the paddle past the
dock. This is the best one so far. Good work guys.
For several years now we have stopped on Fox
Island for lunch where ours hosts are Paul and
Terri Brady. Paul makes several boat trips to
ferry the ground crew and supplies to the island
and back, and they provide us with the full use
of all the facilities on the island. Thanks Paul
and Terri.
