Good morning from Merrickville! The K4C group arrived here last night around 5:45 pm and were surprised to receive a loud and cheerful welcome from the town crier and Doug Struthers, the local mayor.

We're sure the temperatures reached 35-36 degrees yesterday with the humidity. Although all the kayakers were well hydrated (thanks to our sponsors), the showers proved to be the hit of this lock station -- a big thanks to the Lion's Club!
